Pittsburgh seems to be set at the tackle positions on the offensive line with seniors Lucas Nix and Jordan Gibbs, and classmate Chris Jacobson has plenty of experience as well. But where will Jacobson play: center or guard? A lot of that has to do with redshirt junior center Ryan Turnley.
If Turnley proves physical enough to handle the duties at center Jacobson can play at his natural left guard spot. Turnley missed most of the spring while dealing with a shoulder injury, and he was Jacobson's backup at left guard last season.
