Turns out Oregon State receiver Micah Hatfield won't have surgery on his broken thumb. The broken bone will probably take about four weeks to get healed, but Hatfield will avoid surgery.
Hatfield was on fire in the OSU camp until the injury, so with his recovery time getting cut by a couple weeks, he could have time to earn some playing time in the season's first few weeks.
