Smith has second good day for Wyoming

Wyoming freshman quarterback Brett Smith wasn't as hot as he was in the team's first scrimmage, but Friday's second outing wasn't too bad. Smith, who ran with the No. 1 unit, hit on 15-of-23 passes for 160 yards and a score -- after throwing a pick on his first attempt of the day.

Unless he backslides quite a bit, it looks like Smith will be the guy for Wyoming to open the season. That's not to say Adam Pittser is completely out of the picture. Smith, being a true freshman, will likely have his ups and downs. For now, he's on the upswing.
