David Sims leads GT B-Backs

In a very conflicting reports, it appears as if David Sims led all Georgia Tech B-Backs in today's first scrimmage. The Atlanta-Journal Constitution "very unofficially" had Sims with nine carries for 44 yards, while Jackets Online, GT's Rivals affiliate, says Sims had "close to 100 yards."

That's a pretty big disparity, and official stats weren't kept.  The coaching staff in Atlanta is big on blocking, and Preston Lyons is the best blocker of this 4-headed monster.  Sims however is generating the most buzz, and it almost seems like the the staff wants him to emerge here.  It's time to take him seriously as a candidate for carries.  Richard Watson didn't play today.
