With starting quarterback B.J. Daniels (hamstring) sitting out the first scrimmage of fall camp, USF backups Bobby Eveld and Matt Floyd had a greater opportunity to earn the number two spot on the depth chart. Both Floyd (18-25, 161 yards 1 TD) and Eveld (12-10, 150 yards) were solid, meaning that nothing has been decided yet.
It's a bonus for USF that both have taken advantage of the increased reps due to Daniels' injury. This should serve the Bulls well as the season wears on, should their starter go down.
