UNLV quarterback Caleb Herring was hot during Saturday's 11-on-11 work, hitting on nearly all of his passes, including some pinpoint completions to tight end Kyle Watkins and wide receiver Marcus Sullivan.
Herring certainly feels like the odds-on winner of the quarterback competition. The first day in pads certainly agreed with him as he looked sharp throughout practice.
