TCU quarterback Casey Pachall "played well," according to coach Gary Patterson after Saturday's closed scrimmage. Pachall has stepped into the void of Andy Dalton and played well throughout this portion of fall camp.
While Patterson was happy with Pachall's play, he did express concern about the backup quarterback spot and the inconsistent play of redshirt freshman Matt Brown and true freshman Trevone Boykin. Both run well, but have not been consistent throwing the ball.
