While Texas Tech offensive coordinator Neal Brown said quarterback Seth Doege needs to play better than he did in Saturday's scrimmage, head coach Tommy Tuberville was impressed with true freshman Michael Brewer's performance.
There has been speculation that Brewer will redshirt this season, but if he could continue outperforming Doege in practice, the assumption that Doege will be the starter for the Red Raiders could be incorrect.
