The biggest battle at the quarterback position for Pittsburgh has been the backup job, and Trey Anderson at this stage looks to be the leader. Mark Myers still has time to make a move and win the job, but according to offensive coordinator Todd Dodge it would be Anderson who would be one snap away from playing if the season began today.
In addition to these two there's Anthony Gonzalez, who's been taking snaps at both H-back and receiver in camp. May he work his way onto the field at one of those positions after his two-game suspension is complete? It may be too early to make a definitive statement on that.
