Suspended Texas safety Christian Scott was reinstated to the team today after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge.

Scott will have to sit out the first three games of the season, but he will be allowed to practice with the scout team. When he returns, he should provide a boost to the Longhorns' defense depending on how Mack Brown decides to use him.
