UAB keeps losing its stars as defensive tackle Elliot Henigan is going to be out 3-4 weeks because of an unspecified injury.
This is a tough blow for the Blazers defense as Henigan is a preseason all conference selection and the defense will need all the help it can get against Florida in their opener. Things will not get easier after that, as UAB plays solid offenses in Troy and East Carolina after a matchup with Tulane. Expect plenty of shootouts involving the Blazers to be played in 2011.
