After Tuesday's practice, Arizona coach Mike Stoops said that Jaime Salazar has pulled ahead of last year's starter Alex Zendejas in the placekicking battle.
Stoops said the margin is slim and that neither kicker has displayed the kind of consistency he wants to have. At this point, Salazar is the top dog.
