The Marshall running depth chart seems to be coming into focus as former starter Martin Ward is now backing up Travon Van and Tron Martinez.
Van and Martinez are both talented backs but in an offense that may be starting a true freshman quarterback. While neither back has earned true number one status, neither should be recommended. That all can change with some solid performances, which probably will not occur in week one as the Herd travels to West Virginia.
