Texas Tech offensive coordinator Neal Brown said that freshmen running backs DeAndre Washington and Ronnie Daniels will play this season, but he is leaning towards redshirting freshman tailback Kenny Williams.
Brown stated that they didn't want to waste a year on Williams, especially if he doesn't find a role on special teams. Daniels and Washington will play, but just how much is unknown. Both should get more opportunities than usual since the Red Raiders match up with Texas State in week one.
