Missouri senior quarterback Jimmy Costello was named the backup to James Franklin on Monday, with Corbin Berkstresser listed third on the depth chart.
This is important to note because we now know who would step in should Franklin go down, and it's significant because Berkstresser was the only freshman not to be redshirted as of now. We'll see if he now receives a redshirt since he was unable to earn the backup gig.
