Boise State running back Malcolm Johnson has been lost for the season after an ACL tear during Sunday's practice. Johnson had returned to the program after a year away and had battled his way into the No. 3 spot behind Doug Martin and D.J. Harper.

Johnson's injury came during a portion of practice where there was no contact, according to coach Chris Peterson.
