Marshall has officially named Tron Martinez their starting running back, beating our freshman Travon Van for the role.
Last years starter Martin Ward is now third string. The Herd need a semblance of a rushing attack in 2011 after their leading scorer on the ground only scored twice in 2010. Ward can take pressure of quarterback Rakeem Cato and is an intriguing name to remember, just not this opening week against West Virginia.
