Kansas head coach Turner Gill announced that sophomore wide receiver Erick McGriff and redshirt freshman tight end Jimmay Mundine were suspended for the first two games for violating team rules.
McGriff wasn't expected to see much playing time this year, but Mundine was perhaps someone to keep an eye on as a nice complement to starting tight end Tim Biere. Now both will have to miss, on paper, the two easiest matchups Kansas will face this season.
