TCU coach Gary Patterson said that new starting quarterback Casey Pachall will be under the "Dalton rule," which essentially means that if Pachall doesn't take care of the ball, he'll come out of the game. Former starter Andy Dalton struggled with turnovers when he was young and Patterson imposed that rule upon him.
Pachall's job is clear, manage the game and don't turn the ball over while making the plays that are there to be made. TCU will certainly rely on the running game a ton early in the season, but Pachall will have to demonstrate he's going to be a good caretaker of the offense.
