Iowa State senior tight end Ricky Howard tore his ACL during fall workouts and will miss the 2011 season. Howard will use a redshirt so that he remains with one year of eligibility.
Howard entered the fall third on the depth chart and was more of a blocking tight end, so he wasn't of much value to fantasy owners anyway. However we wish him a speedy recovery.
