Mississippi State has suspended five players including defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, quarterback Dylan Favre and tight end Malcolm Johnson, offensive tackle Blaine Clausell and linebacker Chris Hughes for the season opener against Memphis for a violation of team rules.
Losing these guys would hurt if it weren't against Memphis.
