Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville announced Thursday night that Jacob Karam will back up starter Seth Doege and freshman Michael Brewer will redshirt.
It makes sense for the Red Raiders to redshirt Brewer if he is listed as third on the depth chart and now we know that Karam will step in should Doege struggle or go down with an injury.
