Starter Jordan Hopgood had 18 carries, but managed just 45 yards. The amount of split carries is concerning, and I can't suggest putting huge stock in a MAC freshman, but Samuel is certainly worth gambling on. The Falcons play West Virginia October 1st, but otherwise had a soft schedule that features MAC defenses, and next week's opponent, mighty Morgan State.
