Texas quarterback Garrett Gilbert went 13 of 23 for 239 yards and one score with no turnovers in the Longhorns' win over the Rice Owls.
Gilbert, who had 17 interceptions last season, looks to have dedicated himself to protecting the ball much more this season. Texas started slow, but eventually picked it up and put the Owls away late.
