Wyoming running backs Alvester Alexander and Brandon Miller did enough to keep quarterback Brett Smith safe and protected in the win over Weber State. Alexander had 30 yards rushing on eight carries, including one score, while Miller led the Pokes ground game with 59 yards on 10 carries.
With Smith having 13 carries, the odds are very good that we're going to see the Alexander-Miller tandem share touches fairly evenly through the year unless one distances himself from the other. Additionally, Alexander did have six catches for 62 yards on the day.
