Rutgers will show off more of the new offensive system brought in by offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti against North Carolina on Saturday. Running backs Jeremy Deering and Joe Martinek (fullback), who combined for just five touches in the win over North Carolina Central, seem to be likely candidates to get more touches.
Given the fact that offensive lineman Desmond Wynn is dealing with health issues and the Tar Heels have one of the better defensive lines around, it wouldn't be a surprise if Rutgers looked to run the ball more. How this affects the touches for Savon Huggins, De'Antwan Williams and Jawan Jamison remains to be seen however.
