Nice to see USC quarterback Matt Barkley using his tight end Saturday. The beneficiary of that kindness was tight end Xavier Grimble, who had five catches for 66 yards and a score.
Barkley needs to learn to use his tight ends regularly because he'll need to in the NFL. Grimble is a nice blend of size and speed and demonstrated nice hands in the win. Don't expect these numbers every week, but Grimble has proven his ability and will have two or three more games like this in 2011.
