Despite getting crushed by Arkansas, New Mexico had a few bright moments, particularly from receiver/returner Lamaar Thomas, who racked up 159 all-purpose yards -- 25 rushing, 60 receiving and 74 returning.
Though improved, it figures to be another long fall and winter at New Mexico, but Thomas is an interesting addition. He's a guy who can make people miss and has good speed. He's starting to really become an important part of this team's offense and return game. He's worth keeping an eye on.
