California freshman running back Brendan Bigelow will likely play some Saturday. Bigelow essentially hasn't played in two years because of knee injuries -- and missed the team's first two games.

Bigelow is still considered a prime recruit and coach Jeff Tedford said he felt Bigelow had turned a corner in terms of speed, cutting and able to take the pounding. Tedford would like to find some depth at running back, so look for Bigelow to get some work.
