San Diego State coach Rocky Long said that redshirt freshman receiver Ezell Ruffin will not play this season, but will remain with the team and try to get back next season. Ruffin had been waiting for the NCAA to rule on a transcript from an online class he took at another school. Apparently, it didn't work out the way everyone had hoped.
It's too bad because the Aztecs needed some receiving help this year, and Ruffin could have certainly been in the mix. Now, he'll have to wait.
