Wisconsin will be without the services of senior starting cornerback Devin Smith for the season. Smith will have surgery on his left ankle and redshirt the year.
Wisconsin has not been tested defensively this season, but that will change as they face quarterback Chandler Harnish and Northern Illinois. This will be a good gauge to see where the Badgers are defensively.
