Lobos Long is lone bright spot for receivers

New Mexico's passing game didn't do a lot, but what it did went mostly through receiver Deon Long, who had three catches for 139 yards, including a 69-yarder from Tarean Austin to set up the only touchdown.

If the Lobos had completed more than eight passes, Long might have had an even more impressive afternoon. Still, he was the real bright spot for this offense against Texas Tech. he's capable of big days, but not if the quarterback is 8-of-24 passing. That has to be better.
