While Michigan running back Vincent Smith is expected to start against San Diego State, freshman Thomas Rawls has moved up to "second or third" on the depth chart, per coach Brady Hoke.
Michael Shaw seems to be falling off the pecking order, while Smith, Rawls, and Fitzgerald Toussaint have appeared to solidify their roles. If you have room on your bench, it may be a good idea to stash Rawls now.
