After Florida International quarterback Wesley Carroll went down with an ankle injury, Jake Medlock filled in and finished with 216 yards passing and an interception, while adding 39 yards rushing and a touchdown.
The extent of Carroll's injury is unknown at this time, but Medlock should do fine in his absence as long as he gets the ball to guys like T.Y. Hilton, while limiting mistakes.
