New Mexico freshman running back Crusoe Gongbay continues to see more carries. Gongbay led the team with nine carries (20 yards) and had the lone rushing touchdown on the day.
It's hard to gauge how much more he could have done given that New Mexico was behind a good portion of this game and had to rely on the pass to get back into it. Gongbay will likely see a split in carries with James Wright, though it would appear Gongbay is the better answer long-term.
