While fellow New Mexico receiver Deon Long was grabbing all the attention, Ty Kirk was quietly going about having his best day as a Lobo -- 13 catches for 127 yards.
Backup quarterback B.R. Holbrook looked Kirk's way a lot in the second half and it paid off. Kirk has been a solid receiver all season for the Lobos, though his numbers have been spotty. It will be interesting to see if Holbrook or starter Tarean Austin gets the nod at quarterback in the next game. That decision could impact Kirk.
