Rutgers was hoping to find a way to spark their run game during their bye week, with the primary focus being running back Savon Huggins. But it was actually Jawan Jamison who performed well against Ohio, rushing for 97 yards on 29 carries.

Head coach Greg Schiano said that he stuck with Jamison because he had the hot hand, and that seems to be the strategy for the foreseeable future. That could make picking up Jamison, Huggins or Jeremy Deering a tough thing to do until one sets himself apart from the competition.
