New Mexico State leading receiver Taveon Rogers dressed but didn't play in the high-scoring win over New Mexico. Rogers was probable to play, but in his absence freshman Austin Franklin stepped up with 115 yards and a score.
What a frustrating turn of events for Rogers owners. Not only was this a juicy matchup, but everything coming out of New Mexico State said Rogers would play. With a bye week upcoming, Rogers should have plenty of time to get healthy for Idaho in two weeks.
