In an interview with ESPN, quarterback Dan Persa says his Achilles is feeling good. "I'm feeling real good, a lot better than I did last week. So hopefully it will just keep getting better every week."
Persa pulled himself out of last week's game against Illinois after taking a hit to the back of his leg. He said he felt his Achilles tighten up and was concerned about doing more harm. The Wildcat trainers said earlier this week that this is normal and all part of the recovery process. Is Persa a safe play this week? No, he could be one bad cut away from sitting the bench again. But his upside is hard to ignore. He'll be a risk/reward play all year.
