Mississippi State wide receiver Chad Bumphis has been somewhat absent in the offense as of late, but with Tyler Russell at quarterback, Bumphis was inserted back into the spotlight. Bumphis finished the game against UAB with a team-high four catches for 66 yards and a score.
While his performance was far from legendary, it is the most we have seen from the electric playmaker all season. If Russell becomes the starter, this could be a sign of things to come.
