Western Michigan quarterback Alex Carder again struggled against Northern Illinois, throwing for just 194 yards and a touchdown in a blowout loss.
Carder was intercepted once, and at a loss for words following the game. "I'm sorry, I'm still a little bit shocked. I think we thought we were better than we are," offered Carder after the game. It probably won't be a fun week of practice for the Broncos, but they'll bounce back in a big way next week against Eastern Michigan.
