North Carolina kicker Casey Barth will sit the remainder of the year out as a result of a groin injury, and he'll apply for a medical redshirt.
Barth was limited to three games. Thomas Moore has taken over the kicking duties in Chapel Hill, and while he's perfect on PATs, he's only attempted two field goals in five games, making one. Obviously, he isn't much of an option.
