USF wide receiver Deonte Welch was one of the players to step up with Sterling Griffin going down, catching five passes for a team-high 130 yards in the loss to Cincinnati. Andre Davis added four receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown and tight end Evan Landi caught three passes for 51 yards.
The Bulls have had solid depth at receiver this season, but outside of Griffin there had been production issues. With the bye week and Griffin's injury, maybe other guys can step up and earn more opportunities to shine.
