California running back Isi Sofele didn't practice Tuesday and coach Jeff Tedford offered little in the way of explanation other than to say his starting running back took a bit of a beating against Utah.
Sofele leads the team in rushing with more than 600 yards and had been a very potent offensive weapon for the Bears. At this point, think of the missed practice as simply a day extra to get Sofele some rest. Monitor this, though, into the latter stages of the week.
