Temple running back Bernard Pierce saw a season-low 17 carries last weekend against Bowling Green because he is "banged up," according to head coach Steve Addazio. Pierce didn't practice all week leading up to the game.
Uh oh. Pierce has a long history of injury troubles, and is on pace to set a new career-high for carries this season. Additionally, Addazio has proven to be one of the tightest lipped coaches out there. The good news is the Owls don't play again until November 2nd. Matt Brown has three consecutive 100-yard games, and needs to be picked up in all formats, just in case.
