New Mexico redshirt freshman receiver Deon Long continues to be plagued by a toe injury -- an injury that has forced him to miss the last seven quarters for the Lobos.
Long has been a big play guy for the Lobos and set a school record of 378 all-purpose yards against Sam Houston State. The toe is getting better, but whether he'll be able to play this week against Air Force is still unknown. His absence hurts this team on the receiving and the return front. He's very talented and capable of big plays.
