UNLV receiver Phillip Payne didn't catch a lot of passes (3), but he did make them count, scoring a pair of touchdowns in the win over Colorado State.
UNLV threw for only 117 yards, so proportionately, Payne's 48 yards were pretty significant. He caught touchdown passes of eight and 31 yards from quarterback Caleb Herring. We just wish the UNLV quarterback situation was more productive because Payne could do so much more if given the touches.
