With Boise State's starting running back Doug Martin out with an injury, D.J. Harper and Drew Wright stepped in and delivered. Harper rushed for 109 yards on 13 carries, while Wright added 47 on eight carries to help the running game stay on track. Oh, both scored touchdowns on the ground as well.
With Martin's status uncertain, the Boise running game is a little thinner than expected, but still is in good hands with a savvy and productive vet in Harper. Wright showed some tools that could be useful, too.
