As noted earlier, New Mexico State quarterback Matt Christian left last week's game against Georgia after taking a blow to the head. Christian's status for this week's game against Fresno State remains uncertain and there have been no updates on his health.
This is a sticky situation. Christian may have been held out last week to save him for conference play, but unless we hear from the coaching staff, he's a risky start. Which is too bad because Fresno State gives up 36 points per game. Travaughn Colwell will get the start if Christian is unable to go.
