No one knew what to expect when third-string quarterback Connor Halliday entered the game early Saturday. He opened plenty of eyes by throwing for 494 yards and four Washington State scores in the win over ASU on a cold, cold night at the Palouse.
Halliday hit on 27-of-36 passes and showed a go-for-it mentality that included going downfield a lot. His style plays into the skill set of star receiver Marquess Wilson, that's for sure. We'll see how healthy Marshall Lobbestael is after leaving early Saturday -- and what Halliday's future playing time might be. Things are interesting at WSU.
